Residential Emergency Shelters

Residential Emergency Shelters

Carpenter’s Shelter operates its emergency shelters using a low-barrier, Housing First approach. Residents are offered comprehensive housing-focused case management services, using a trauma-informed lens, to meet the needs of each household. Our goal is to assist residents with transitioning to permanent, sustainable housing as quickly as possible.
The average stay at Carpenter’s Shelter’s emergency shelters is two months for individuals and three months for families.
Individuals and families seeking shelter must be referred from the Homeless Services Assessment Center and complete an intake assessment.
