Through our Rapid Re-Housing Program, our case management team focuses on finding permanent housing solutions for eligible individuals within 30-60 days of admission into the shelter. These individuals receive support via housing location and selection, monetary assistance for deposits and rent payments, and continued individual case management support within the community.
Through our community involvement and outreach, Carpenter’s Shelter aims to create lasting partnerships with local property owners and area apartment leasing professionals to help our clients obtain and maintain leases in their own names as a method to promote independence, build good credit and rental history, and learn the basics of caring for a home of their own.
Carpenter’s Shelter is always looking for trustworthy and caring individuals to become Landlord Partners. Our Continuum of Care is committed to helping Landlords achieve the following benefits:
– Tenant placement servicing
– Reduced periods of vacancy
– Timely rental payments
– Reduced stress and cost of advertising
– Prevention of long and costly evictions
Starting with time-limited financial assistance, Carpenter’s Shelter provides rent payments and security deposits to help clients get established. From there, we develop a longer-term plan for income stability and financial management education to help them remain good tenants and successfully manage their expenses. Our case management staff works with clients and Landlords on an ongoing basis to help proactively prevent any tenancy issues, and there is always an open line of communication with our team in the instance any problem-solving support is requested. Our goal is for our clients and their families to be permanently housed and avoid returning to homelessness.
To become a Landlord Partner today or share any potential housing resources, please e-mail, and one of our Housing Locators will reach out to welcome you to our community housing network.
